Email Connection Problems

Outlook connection - common errors

"Need admin approval" Your Microsoft 365 admin needs to approve the StackTidy app. Contact your IT department or try connecting with a personal Microsoft account instead. "Maximum connections reached" You can have up to 3 email accounts connected. Remove one before adding another. Connection shows an error badge
  1. Open the Import section (avatar → Import)
  2. Tap Manage next to the affected account
  3. Tap Reconnect - this re-authenticates without losing your scan history

Forwarding not working

Emails not being detected:
  • Double-check you copied the correct StackTidy forwarding address from the Import section
  • Verify the forwarding rule is active in your email provider
  • Some providers add a delay - wait 5-10 minutes and check again
Expected subscriptions not appearing:
  • We detect subscription-pattern emails (receipts, invoices, renewals). Not all vendors send them.
  • The subscription may use a different email address

Scan ran but nothing was caught

  • Your inbox may not have matching subscription emails in the scanned period
  • Try forwarding a recent receipt manually to test that detection is working
  • Check the review sheet - caught subscriptions require your review before appearing in Radar

Re-connecting Outlook

If you want to start fresh:

  1. Open Import section (avatar → Import)
  2. Tap ManageDisconnect
  3. Tap Connect Outlook to reconnect
This doesn't delete previously caught subscriptions.
