Health Scores

What green, amber, and red mean - and what affects your subscription's health

Health Scores

Every subscription gets a health score: green, amber, or red. This tells you at a glance what needs attention.

What each color means

Green - Healthy
  • Charges are regular and expected
  • Renewal date is known
  • No unusual patterns detected
Amber - Needs attention
  • Renewal is coming up soon
  • Cost changed recently
  • Subscription has been quieter than usual
  • Auto-renew status is unknown
Red - Ghost
  • No activity detected for an extended period
  • This subscription may be wasted spend
  • Nobody may be using this tool anymore

Where health shows up

  • Health Ring on Home: each segment is one subscription, colored by status
  • Radar tab: every subscription card shows its health indicator
  • Filter pills: use "Issues" to show only amber + red
  • Sort by Health: puts the most concerning subscriptions first

What affects health

  • Activity: when was the last subscription email or charge detected?
  • Renewal date: is it coming up soon?
  • Price changes: did the cost change unexpectedly?
  • Auto-renew: is it on or unknown?
  • Your input: marking a subscription as "keeping" improves its health
  • Age: new subscriptions get time to establish patterns

Ghost detection

A "ghost" is a subscription that's still charging you but shows no signs of use. StackTidy detects these by watching for extended inactivity. When found, they appear as red in the Health Ring and surface as a whisper: "Linear has been quiet for 28 days."
