Connecting Outlook
The Outlook connection gives StackTidy direct access to scan your inbox for subscription emails. No forwarding rules needed.
Setup
- Tap your avatar (top-right corner)
- Open the Import section in the Profile sheet
- Tap Connect Outlook
- Sign in with your Microsoft account
- Grant the requested permissions (read-only access to emails matching subscription patterns)
- You're connected - tap Scan now to start immediately
Running a scan
After connecting:
- In the Import section, find your connected account
- Tap Scan now
- The button shows "Scanning your inbox…" while it runs
- When done, the Profile sheet closes and the review sheet opens automatically
- Keep or skip each detected subscription
Scan frequency
- Manual scan: Tap "Scan now" anytime for an immediate check
- Background scans: StackTidy scans periodically while your connection is active
What we scan for
We look for emails matching subscription patterns: payment confirmations, receipts, invoices, renewal notices, trial conversion messages. We do not read unrelated emails.
Microsoft 365 / work accounts
If your organization uses Microsoft 365, your IT admin may need to approve the StackTidy app before you can connect. If you see a "Need admin approval" screen, contact your IT department.
Disconnecting
- Go to the Import section (avatar → Import)
- Tap Manage next to your connected account
- Select Disconnect
